Candidates on May ballot receive endorsements for office

The following candidates received an endorsement for the May 17 primary election:

Office: U.S. representative for the 6th Congressional District.

Candidate: Regina Mauro, Republican

Endorsement: Berks County Commissioner Michael Rivera

“Her relentless activism over many years, dedicated to advancing conservative values, has proven that all the constituents in the 6th Congressional District can fully trust Regina to stay true to our mutual beliefs of small government and personal liberty,” Rivera said.

Office: U.S. representative for the 9th Congressional District.

Candidate: Dan Meuser, Republican

Endorsement: The Republican Party of Luzerne County

“Congressman Meuser has proven to our committee and to his constituents in Luzerne County to be hardworking, a strong conservative, and we look forward to his continued representation,” committee Chairman P.J. Prebula said.

The Chester County Democratic Committee endorsed the following candidates:

Office: Pennsylvania governor

Candidate: Josh Shapiro, Democrat

Office: Pennsylvania lieutenant governor

Candidate: Austin Davis, Democrat

Office: U.S. representative for the 6th Congressional District

Candidate: Chrissy Houlahan, Democrat
