Construction begins on Crystal Cave Road Bridge over Sacony Creek

Construction on the bridge carrying Crystal Cave Road over Sacony Creek at the Greenwich-Richmond township line in Berks County, is scheduled to begin during the week of July 9 as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

When the bridge closes for full replacement, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 143 (Hard Hill Road), Route 662 (Moselem Spring Road) and Route 222 (Kutztown Road).
