Dumpster Day: City-Wide Residential Clean-Out Event

The City of Reading announces Dumpster Day, a city-wide residential clean-out initiative, scheduled for Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This event aims to facilitate community-wide clean-up efforts and promote a cleaner, greener environment.

Dumpster Day will feature 11 designated locations throughout the city, providing residents with convenient access to dispose of bulky items and declutter their homes. The locations are as follows:

  1. Baer Park (two dumpsters)
  2. West Oley and McKnight
  3. Hampden Boulevard and Perry Street
  4. 16th and Cotton
  5. 9th and Chestnut
  6. 7th and Bingaman
  7. 3rd and Spruce
  8. Essick Park
  9. 12th and Greenwich
  10. Clinton and West Greenwich
  11. Division and Buttonwood

Please note that the following items will NOT be accepted at any of the locations: tires, used oil, household chemicals, paint, televisions, and appliances. For further information, please contact Ryan Bradley, Clean City Coordinator, at Ryan.Bradley@ReadingPA.gov or call 484-509-7230.
