In conjunction with National Library Card Sign-Up Month, Berks County Public Libraries is challenging patrons to visit the 19 primary libraries and four branch locations in the library system for a chance to win four gift card prizes, including a $400 Target gift card. The Library Passport Challenge is available now through Nov. 30.
How to Participate
Berks County Public Libraries cardholders can pick up a Passport Challenge booklet at any of the 23 system library locations. Present your library card to be scanned at each location and receive a passport sticker for that library. Patrons who visit all 19 primary library locations noted in the challenge booklet can submit their completed passports to be entered into a raffle for a $400 grand prize Target gift card.
Additionally, cardholders will receive a regular raffle ticket for one of three $75 gift cards to area businesses when they visit five, 10, and 15 primary library locations or visit all four system branches.
Participants must hold onto their Passport Challenge booklet as they complete the event. Anyone who loses their challenge booklet will need to restart in order to continue with the challenge. Stamps do not need to be collected in alphabetical order. Participants are encouraged to check each library’s hours of operation before visiting.
Interested participants who don’t currently have a Berks County Public Libraries card can register at any location for free with a valid photo ID. If you live outside of Berks but work or go to school in Berks County, you will be asked to provide information such as a pay stub or current student ID.

There are three regular raffle prizes for reaching four library tier levels (outlined below). Once you collect enough stamps for each level, participants can submit a regular raffle ticket for one of the following prizes:
- $75 gift card to Hamburg Strand Theater
