Hannah’s Hope Ministries is honored to be named the beneficiary of the Parrot Head Club of Berks County’s annual Parrot Head Daze event, taking place on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Jimmy G’s Beverly Hills Tavern in Sinking Spring.
The Parrot Head Club of Berks County, a local organization known for its dedication to “partying with a purpose,” has raised over $825,000 for various Berks County charities since its establishment in 2002. This year, Hannah’s Hope Ministries was selected among several well-known local charities to receive the proceeds from this time-honored event.
Karen Marsdale, co-director of Hannah’s Hope Ministries, expressed her gratitude for being chosen as the charity recipient. “We are more than blessed and honored to be chosen this year by the Berks County Parrot Head Club to be the recipient of the proceeds from this event. Working with the members of the Club has been amazing – they are clearly folks who have taken the words of the great Jimmy Buffet to ‘Party with a Purpose.’ Their commitment to the community of Berks County more than speaks for itself.”
Hannah’s Hope Ministries, founded in 2017, fills a critical gap in services for homeless single mother-led families in Berks County. Over the years, the organization has provided a safe, nurturing environment for dozens of women and children, offering them the time, resources, and support they need to heal from trauma and build independent lives.
The Parrot Head Daze event will feature a full day of live music, food, and fun, including opportunities to bid on items in a silent auction and participate in raffles. Proceeds from the event will support Hannah’s Hope Ministries in its mission to empower women and end the cycle of homelessness.
“Hannah’s Hope is unique, just like the families we serve. Our goal is to provide every possible resource and loving support to give these amazing families the opportunity to turn their lives around,” said Marsdale.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Hannah’s Hope Ministries for this year’s Parrot Head Daze,” said a representative from the Parrot Head Club of Berks County. “This event is about more than just having fun; it’s about making a real difference in our community, and we believe Hannah’s Hope is doing just that.”
