from Heritage Senior Living

Heritage Senior Living, a senior housing management company responsible for 15 locations throughout Pennsylvania, announced the promotion of two executive directors, Kara Dobson and Kaitlin Nagle, and welcomed new hire, Carol Stephens.

Kara Dobson is the new executive director of Keystone Villa at Douglassville for personal care and memory care. She has a career spanning 20 years of experience working with seniors in assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, and hospice.

Dobson is a licensed personal care home administrator and has a master’s degree in social work from Marywood University.

For over 10 years, she provided steadfast leadership as executive director at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood, also managed by Heritage Senior Living. She looks forward to bringing her energy and passion for senior living to her new team members, residents, and families of Keystone Villa at Douglassville.

Kaitlin Nagle is the new executive director of Keystone Villa at Fleetwood. She discovered her career in long-term care at 18 years old when she became the primary caregiver for her great-grandfather.

Nagle then began working as a certified nursing assistant, leading up to the position of personal care assistant in the emergency room while completing nursing school.

Her career with Heritage Senior Living began in 2015 as a licensed practical nurse at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood. She transitioned into the resident care director role before taking the executive director position at sister community Manor at Market Square in March 2023.

“Heritage is proud to promote from within our organization. Kara and Kaitlin have tremendous work ethic, leadership, and focus on quality care for our residents has helped their communities excel. I look forward to mentoring each executive director to achieve continued success in their new roles,” Shawn Barndt, regional director of operations at Heritage Senior Living, said.

New hire Carol Stephens joins the Heritage Senior Living team with over 10 years of experience in the senior living industry. She is filling the role of executive director at Manor at Market Square in downtown Reading.

Stephens is currently working on her master’s degree in social work. She graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a bachelor’s degree in human services. In 2020, she became a licensed nursing home administrator.

Her career choice stemmed from personal experiences relating to her grandfather, from which she wants to ensure all residents receive the proper care they need and deserve. She strives to help seniors by understanding their personal and individualized needs.
