Jim Dietrich Park, the home of RiverFest, is also the host of the annual Haunted Hollow event. Come out and celebrate the fall season at Jim Dietrich Park from Friday, Oct. 10, to Sunday, Oct. 12, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., where each night the park will be transformed into a Haunted Hollow.
We caution visitors to the park after dark—there will be some thrills and scares. The park will transform into a ghoulish landscape along the river with a haunted hay ride, and the barn will be transformed into a freakshow where you never know who—or what—will be inside! Beware, this event is not for the weak of heart! Enter at your own risk for plenty of fun.
Tickets are $12.00 for the hayride or barn, or you can purchase a combo ticket for only $20.00. Tickets can be purchased online at muhlenbergtwp.com or at the event. This year, we are cashless with ticket sales. Please, parents, do not drop children off with cash if they want to purchase tickets to the barn or onto the hayride. Food will be available for purchase, and the vendors will accept cash. There will also be a DJ and a fun games area.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Muhlenberg Township is sponsoring a Fall Family Fun Fest. This event is filled with family-oriented activities, including traditional hayrides, pumpkin painting, carnival games, magic shows by Rich Gerber, and more! Food vendors will be available throughout the day.
Jim Dietrich Park is located at 4899 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road in Reading. Call the Muhlenberg Township office at 610-929-4727 for more information, or visit their website at www.muhlenbergtwp.com or their Facebook page at Facebook.com/mtparks.
