The Berks County Parks & Recreation Department continues to present programs promoting nature, history, and outdoor activity throughout the month of April 2025.
Saturday, April 5 | Spring Stroll Wellness Walk | 9 a.m. @ Angora Fruit Farm
Join Parks staff as they get out on the Union Canal Trail to enjoy an hour-long brisk walk with like-minded friends.

Saturday, April 5 | Volunteer Invasive Removal | 10 a.m. @ Angora Fruit Farm
Come and join Parks staff’s efforts in helping the environment by removing and cutting back on invasive plant populations.
Free. | The event is open to the public.
Tuesday, April 8 | Trail Tales | 10 a.m. @ Bingaman House
This toddler-age program focuses on a nature topic each month partnered with a story and a craft. Geared toward children ages 3-5.

Saturday, April 12 | Egg-cellent Eggs! | 10 a.m. to noon @ Gring’s Mill
Discover some truly egg-cellent facts about eggs! We’ll look at birds, insects, and reptiles and share just why eggs are so incredible. Learn to identify common birds’ nests, dissect an egg, peek at evidence of insect eggs, and meet some cold-blooded egg layers too. A non-competitive egg hunt will follow the program. Geared toward families with children ages 5+.

Walk the trails at Antietam Lake Park on the evening of the full moon!
