Kutztown School Summer Band performs at Kutztown Park Aug. 7

The Kutztown School District Summer Band will perform at Kutztown Park on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Annually for the past 10-plus years, the Borough of Kutztown welcomes Kutztown students to the bandshell stage for a free concert open to the public as part of the Borough of Kutztown Concert Series in the Park.

Under the coordination of elementary instrumental music teacher Kathy Mohler, the concert will include performances by elementary to high school students who participate in the summer instrumental music lessons along with guest instrumentalists.

The concert will be held rain or shine in the covered Kutztown Park Bandshell.

Come early for seats inside the bandshell or bring chairs and blankets for seats outside on the lawn area. The park concession stand Cougar Café run by Saucony Café will be open for food and drinks before and during the show.

The free concert series is made possible by the Borough of Kutztown and the support of co-sponsors.
