It’s bad enough that Exeter Township taxpayers have a white elephant, the Reading Country Club, that we must keep paying for with high taxes. Now thanks to an out-of-touch school board that loves to waste taxpayer dollars, we will have a Taj Mahal school-bus building costing more than $4 million.
The school board does not care about the taxpayers. My wife and I are on a fixed income, as are many other taxpayers in Exeter, and the tax increases are unacceptable.
We need school board members who care about sound budgeting instead of wild, careless spending. As long as money and power talk, we will never get sensible budgeting. How can these school board members sleep at night?
