Letter: Government was right to deport Abrego-Garcia

Let’s start with facts. Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an illegal immigrant. He has two domestic abuse accusations filed against him. He was stopped in Tennessee with eight non-English speaking passengers who had no identification. Why he wasn’t arrested then confounds me.He has gang-affiliated tattoos. Two judges have ruled Abrego Garcia can be deported. Somehow, Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland feels Abrego Garcia was denied “due process” in his deportation to his native El Salvador. Van Hollen spent taxpayers’ money to fly to El Salvador to check on Garcia’s condition.

Van Hollen did not, however, check on Rachel Morin’s mother, Patty, who is mourning the loss of her daughter who was murdered by another illegal immigrant. Patty Morin is a U.S. citizen and resident of Maryland.

It seems to me the senator has his priorities askew. Biden allowed millions of illegal immigrants into our country unvetted, but we are supposed to give every individual illegal immigrant “due process.” What kind of convoluted logic is that?

Van Hollen is one stupid individual. Unfortunately, there are many more just like him.
