Letter: Republican leaders should heed will of the voters

Editor:

Once again, crooked politicians have chosen to ignore the will of the people who put them in office and pay their hefty salaries. (“Pa. GOP leaders wisely break with one of their own,” Reading Eagle, July 23).

This time nine Republicans in name only across the commonwealth have decided that the people’s choice for candidate for governor of Pennsylvania, Doug Mastriano, is not fit for this office. Whether or not you believe in the congressional clown show known as the Jan. 6 hearings, the Republican voters in May made their choice, and it is the duty of all the so-called leaders in the party to support their choice.

These bold & brazen RINOS need to be reminded that they serve the people, not the other way around. Take note, Pennsylvania Republicans. The next time these people are up for election in their respective areas and jobs, vote them out. They obviously think they know more than the voters do about what they want.
