Members 1st Federal Credit Union opened its third Berks County branch at 4620 W. Penn Ave. in South Heidelberg Township near Sinking Spring.
It is the 56th branch for the Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County-based financial institution.
The full-service office opened its doors on Monday and features a drive-thru, drive up ATM, lobby service, coin counter and drop box. Prior to opening in South Heidelberg, Members 1st opened Berks locations in Cumru and Exeter townships.
Members 1st is hosting a multi-day celebration at each of its three Berks County locations. Complete with food vendors, open houses, a giveaway contest, special offers and much more, the events will run from Wednesday through Saturday. Visit members1st.org/events to learn more.
This Members 1st branch is located at the intersection of Route 422 and Green Valley Road, across from Sheetz. Plans have been submitted for a Starbucks to also be built in the complex.
“For quite some time, we have been planning this exciting entrance into the wonderful region of Berks County,” spokesman Mike Wilson said in a statement. “We are proud to officially be part of this community, with all three of our branches now open to members. We appreciate the opportunity to serve Berks County and to become part of the very fabric of this community at the grassroots level.”
