Mike Glennon clears concussion protocol, to start at QB vs. Chargers

TUCSON, Ariz. — Mike Glennon cleared the concussion protocol after being a full participant in Friday’s practice. He will start at quarterback for the Giants (4-8) on Sunday against the L.A. Chargers (7-5) at SoFi Stadium.

Daniel Jones (neck strain) is out for a second straight game. He is still not cleared for contact. He was less involved in Friday’s practice than he’d been on Thursday, leaving the field for a significant part of practice. Jones got his own throwing and workout done separately. He was not made available to the media.

Corner Adoree Jackson (quad) will miss a second straight game and did nothing at practice all week. Wide receiver Kadarius Toney (oblique) will miss a third straight game and was laboring through a slow jog during individual drills. He does not look anywhere close to playing in a game.

Wideouts Kenny Golladay (rib) and Sterling Shepard (quad) are questionable, as is defensive tackle Danny Shelton (calf). Golladay and Shepard are expected to play. Shepard has missed four straight games.

Chargers wideout Keenan Allen (COVID-19) is expected to be out, but receiver Mike Williams and corner Chris Harris (close contacts) have been testing negative and are trending towards playing Sunday.
