On Thursday, Aug. 8, the Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Greater Reading and Berks County announced the appointment of its new Board of Directors. This esteemed group of individuals brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and passion for advancing the mission of the organization.

The newly appointed board members include:

  • Camille Faust – Development Chair

  • John Loyack – Facilities and Safety Chair

  • John Gallen
  • Tim Snyder
  • Jacob Stein – Safety Subcommittee Chair
  • Carolyn Bamberger – Governance and Compliance Chair
  • Roger Gray
  • Pat Donahue – Co-Chair Program and Administration

“We are thrilled to welcome such a talented and diverse group of leaders to our Board of Directors,” said Sue Perrotty, Board Chairman of Olivet Boys & Girls Club. “Their combined expertise and commitment to our community will enable us to continue to ensure financial stability and responsible governance in order to continue providing invaluable programs and services to the children of Greater Reading and Berks County.”

Tammy White, President of United Way of Berks County, stated: “The Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Greater Reading and Berks County has long been a beacon of hope and opportunity for our local children and young people. The new board members bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy, ensuring that the club remains a safe and nurturing environment for all its members.”

CEO Rick Perez, Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Greater Reading and Berks County, stated, “All of us at Olivet are dedicated to enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The new board members will play a critical role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, fostering partnerships, and enhancing the quality of programs offered.”

Perez continued, “Our Board is already helping Olivet to serve more kids through their dedication, compassion, and commitment to philanthropy, and our newly created Olivet Invitational Golf Event Committee, led by volunteer Chairs Nick and Felicia Lambros. Thanks to the support of our Board, the Golf Event Committee, local community leaders, and sponsors, including our gracious title sponsor, World Electronics, we raised over $180,000 at our golf tournament held at Ledge Rock Golf Club on Tuesday, July 23. I cannot emphasize enough how great things are happening at Olivet.”
