PSAC will celebrate 75 years in September by honoring prominent contributors

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference is celebrating its 75th anniversary season in 2025-26 and will honor 300 of its most prominent contributors during September, the conference announced Wednesday.

The groups of honorees, with 75 individuals in each, will include:

Made in the PSAC – Recognizing former student-athletes who have gone on to influential careers after graduation (which could be in the sports industry, but not as a professional athlete.)

75 Greatest Female Athletes – Recognizing former female student-athletes who had exceptional athletic careers during or after their participation in the PSAC.

75 Greatest Male Athletes – Recognizing former male student-athletes who had exceptional athletic careers during or after their participation in the PSAC.

Distinguished Keystones – Individuals who have been historically influential in the PSAC, whether it be staff, coaches, or administrators.

“As we celebrate the 75th anniversary season of the PSAC, we are proud to honor 300 individuals whose dedication, talent, and impact have shaped our rich legacy,” said PSAC Commissioner Steve Murray. “These athletes, coaches, and administrators represent the very best of what the conference stands for —excellence, integrity, and the enduring power of collegiate athletics. Their contributions have helped define our past and will continue to inspire our future.”

The PSAC was founded on March 11, 1951, and comprised 14 institutions as the Pennsylvania State Teachers College Athletic Conference (PSTCAC). Since then, it has grown into one of the largest conferences in the NCAA across all three divisions, and includes Kutztown, East Stroudsburg, West Chester, Cheyney and Bloomsburg universities.
