Reading Roller Derby to Host First-Ever Fundraising Music Festival: RDG JAM FEST

Reading Roller Derby is thrilled to announce its first fundraising music festival: RDG JAM FEST, happening Sunday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Historic Reading Liederkranz, 143 Spook Ln., Reading.

“RDG JAM FEST is about bringing the community together for great music, great fun, and great roller derby spirit,” said a Reading Roller Derby spokesperson. “We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone while raising funds to support our team.”

This all-day festival will showcase five incredible local bands:

• Vince Rollins: An acoustic, mixed-genre performer.
• Violet Coup: An indie rock performer and an RDG favorite with special ties to the derby community.
• Bryan Betts – Full Throttle: A 12-string guitar, instrumental acoustic act.
• Faux Fear: Post-punk dark wave.
• Anthropophobia: Hard rock/punk/metal powerhouses and 2024 Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

But the music is just the beginning! RDG JAM FEST will feature 20+ local vendors, artists, and crafters offering unique goods and services, including:

• Inked Anatomy: Berks County’s first female-owned tattoo studio, offering flash tattoos.
• Everlong Records: Offering vinyl and movies.
• Sage Rock Massage & Bodywork: Offering chair massages.
• Ahead of the Trends: Offering custom digital caricatures.
• Crystal’s Dreams: Offering crystals, jewelry, and succulents.
• Kate’s Trunk Shop: Offering embroidered and crocheted goods, jewelry, and keychains.

Festival-goers can also enjoy fun activities like a vintage-style dime toss, a basket raffle featuring items from local businesses and vendors, plus delicious food and drinks (including beer, wine, and nonalcoholic options) will be available for purchase from The Liederkranz.
