Reading United AC women’s team defeats Real Central New Jersey

The Reading United AC women’s team earned their third straight win on Friday night.

Behind two goals from midfielder Molly Kuhn, a Wyomissing graduate, Reading defeated Real Central New Jersey 2-0 in a Women’s Premier Soccer League match at Alvernia.

Kuhn scored in the second minute and the 46th minute. Midfielder Gabby Kurtas, a Berks Catholic graduate, had the assist on Kuhn’s first goal.

Kuhn is tied for the team lead in goals with three. Team captain and former Spartans teammate Rebecca Kotula also has three goals this season.

United (4-1-1) goalkeeper Emme Wolfel, a Kutztown University goalie, finished with eight saves. Central New Jersey (1-2-1) goalie Sophia Kavulich made two saves, and Mojisola Ayodele recorded five saves.
