Reading United AC women’s team plays to draw with Lehigh Valley

The Reading United AC women’s team concluded its inaugural regular season with a draw on Friday night.

Reading and Lehigh Valley Tempest played to a 1-1 tie in a Women’s Premier Soccer League match at Alvernia.

Forward Aminah Baruwa of Lehigh Valley (4-4-2) opened the scoring in the 26th minute off an assist from midfielder Abby Lytle.

United forward Haley Gschrey scored an unassisted goal in the 87th minute to make it 1-1. Reading (7-1-2) finished with nine shots on goal.

Reading goaltender Emme Wolfel, who plays at Kutztown University, recorded four saves. Tempest goalie Gabriella Neal had eight saves.
