Sheetz named one of the best workplaces for women

Sheetz was recently named as one of only three companies headquartered in Pennsylvania to make Fortune’s 75 Best Large Workplaces for Women list.

Sheetz, the Altoona-based convenience store that has nine locations in Berks County, was ranked 64th. It has 20,720 employees with women making up 58.5% of the total.

Based on interviews of female employees, workforce representation and more, Sheetz is the only convenience store to make this year’s list. Additionally, earlier this year, Sheetz recently announced a new parental leave policy that includes 12 weeks of fully paid time off for new mothers.
