Six Eagles were voted to the Pro Bowl, not as many as the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys or Baltimore Ravens but a respectable number for a struggling ball club that got off to a hot start.
Five of the six Eagles to earn honors were on the offensive side, including wide receiver A.J. Brown, running back D’Andre Swift, center Jason Kelce, guard Landon Dickerson and right tackle Lane Johnson.
Edge rusher Haason Reddick was the only Eagles defender voted in.
The 49ers (13-3) had an NFL-high nine players selected, the list composed of quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, tight end George Kittle, offensive tackle Trent Williams, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, defensive end Nick Bosa, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, cornerback Charvarius Ward and linebacker Fred Warner. Hargrave played for the Eagles last season.
The Cowboys (11-5) and Ravens both had seven players voted in. The Cowboys contingent includes quarterback Dak Prescott, cornerback DaRon Bland, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, guard Zack Martin, edge rusher Micah Parsons, punter Bryan Anger and kicker Brandon Aubrey.
The Ravens (13-3) will be represented by quarterback Lamar Jackson, center Tyler Linderbaum, safety Kyle Hamilton, defensive tackle Justin Madubuike, linebackers Patrick Queen and Roquan Smith and kicker Justin Tucker.
It’s the seventh Pro Bowl for Kelce, the fifth for Johnson, No. 3 for Brown and the second for both Dickerson and Reddick. Swift got his first Pro Bowl bid.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and kicker Jake Elliott are first alternates, return specialist Britain Covey and defensive end Josh Sweat are second alternates and offensive tackle Jordan Mailata is a third alternate.
