Swing Fever brings Big Band sounds to Kutztown Park July 22

Swing Fever performs a free concert at the Kutztown Park bandshell rain or shine from 7 to 9 p.m. on July 22.

The 17-piece band with vocalists has been entertaining for 34-plus years, featuring songs of the Big Band music of the Swing era spanning from the late 1920s, ‘30s and the war years of WWII in the 1940s. Every year, Swing Fever is the featured band at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum WWII Weekend. Songs from Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller,  Duke Ellington, the Andrew Sisters, Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Louis Armstrong, and many other great artists, will come alive as Swing Fever recreates those Big Band sounds.

This band has always been a very popular crowd favorite in the Kutztown Borough Concert Series in the Park concert lineup, so the bandshell and adjacent outdoor lawn area fill up quickly. Bring chairs and blankets for seats outside on the lawn area.

The park concession stand Saucony Café will be open prior to the concert around 5:30 p.m. for food and drinks and through intermission.
