from The Peppermint Stick Ice Cream Parlor
The Peppermint Stick Candy Store is expanding! We’ve acquired the space next door, formerly occupied by the dentist, and are transforming it into a soda fountain and ice cream parlor.
Grand opening weekend
The Peppermint Stick Ice Cream Parlor is excited to announce its grand opening weekend, which will take place from Friday, Sept. 6, to Sunday, Sept. 8. Festivities will kick off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Building a Better Boyertown and The Tri-County Area Chamber.
Step back in time to a nostalgic era at the Peppermint Stick Ice Cream Parlor. This custom-built 1940s-themed ice cream parlor and soda shop features authentic fixtures and décor carefully recreated by historic restoration craftsman Eugene Kehler. Using reclaimed lumber from local buildings, Kehler has brought the past to life with a soda fountain bar inspired by historic photographs.
Enjoy delicious ice cream and soda treats in a charming, vintage setting. As a special treat, anyone dressed in 1940s attire will receive a coupon for a free fountain soda to be redeemed on a future visit.
On Sunday, Sept. 8, influencer and mural painter DJ Berry from World Cow will be creating a stunning mural on the side of the Peppermint Stick building and spreading his message of kindness that we are all spots on the same cow.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a piece of history and indulge in delicious treats. For more information, please visit www.PeppermintStickCandyStore.com or follow us on social media.

World Cow Mural
To celebrate this sweet expansion, we want to spread a message of kindness with a mural created by DJ Barry, founder of World Cow. However, we envision this project as more than just an art project. We see it as an opportunity to give back to our community through the United Way.
This project will raise funds for Boyertown United Way while we create a charming landmark for the town that spreads a message of kindness and unity. We believe a partnership between The Peppermint Stick Candy Store, World Cow, and Boyertown United Way is a sweet recipe for success.
World Cow is a global art movement with a presence in over 40 countries. World Cow uses art to spread love and kindness, partnering with charities worldwide. Hence their slogan, “We are all spots on the same cow.”
We have connected with artist DJ, who will create a World Cow mural on the Peppermint Stick Candy Store’s building.
World Cow will set up a booth at Boyertown Park with the United Way for Tractors at the Park on Saturday, Sept. 7. This will promote the mural and the message it spreads.
Then, on Sunday, Sept. 8, the mural will be painted. The public is welcome to observe the creation of the mural. World Cow will be documenting the process and will create suggested content about the mural and Boyertown, helping us reach people from outside our area.
There will be a QR code or link located on or close to the mural that will take you to a page that explains the World Cow mission along with the collaboration between the Peppermint Stick and the United Way.
