From City of Reading
The City of Reading is thrilled to announce the return of Wacky Water Wednesday, back for its sixth season of splashing fun starting June 18 and running every Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 20. Each week, fire hydrants across the city will be opened to create fun, free spray zones for kids to enjoy.
Wacky Water Wednesday is made possible through a collaborative effort by Mayor Eddie Moran and the City of Reading Mayor’s Office, City of Reading Fire Department, City of Reading Police Department, City of Reading Public Works Department, Reading Area Water Authority, and Reading Recreation Commission.
Mayor Eddie Moran invites residents to join the fun: “Wacky Water Wednesday is one of those things our kids look forward to every summer. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it brings neighbors together — and that’s what summer in Reading should be all about.”
