Brewer, listed as 6-4, 275, is rated as a three-star recruit as an athlete and as the No. 8 player in Pennsylvania in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports. He was in attendance at Saturday’s Blue-White Game at Beaver Stadium.

“First I would like to thank all of my family for helping me so much throughout my recruiting process,” Brewer tweeted. “I also want to thank all my coaches for guiding my family and me through the process, especially Coach Steve Oneil and Ross Tucker. I would also like to thank Coach (James) Franklin, (Penn State offensive line coach Phil) Trautwein, and the staff for making my decision an easy one to make. Lastly I would like to thank god for everything that he has given me. The opportunities I have wouldn’t be possible without him.”

It is expected that Brewer will play on the offensive line at Penn State, where would be reunited with high school teammate J’Ven Williams, a freshman for the Nittany Lions who enrolled in January.

Brewer played tight end and defensive line last season in helping Wyomissing win the District 3 Class 3A title and reach the PIAA semifinals. With his blocking in the Spatans’ Wing-T offense, he helped the team average 330.1 rushing yards and 396.1 total yards per game. He also had three catches for 63 yards.

In addition, he was an All-Berks pick as a defensive lineman. He finished with 31 tackles, including a sack, and a forced fumble.

Brewer visited Michigan for its spring game last weekend, and also made unofficial visits to Pitt, Duke and NC State.

Brewer is the ninth player to make a commitment to Penn State in the Class of 2024.

He is set to join not only Williams, but running back Nick Singleton (Gov. Mifflin), tight end Joey Schlaffer (Exeter) and safety Trace Brown (Berks Catholic) as Berks grads on the Penn State roster.
