March 2:
Drive-up ashes for Ash Wednesday, Advent Lutheran Church, 2205 Penn Ave., West Lawn, will offer 7 to 8 a.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. Enter the parking lot from Penn Avenue and you will receive ashes, a prayer and a brochure explaining the meaning of Ash Wednesday. Parking lot attendants will help direct you.
Author visit from L.D. Zane, Muhlenberg Community Library, 3612 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, 6 p.m. “It’s Always My Fault & Other Short Stories” will be available for purchase. Cost is $20, cash only. March 5:
Bausman United Church of Christ, 1064 Penn Ave., Wyomissing, pork and homemade sauerkraut take-out dinner. Pick up is from 3:30-5:30 p.m. The dinner includes roast pork with homemade sauerkraut or mashed potatoes, three-bean salad, apple sauce and a desert. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children 5-12.
