The Fabulous Greaseband brings oldies rock to Kutztown Park July 27

The Fabulous Greaseband will take the stage at the Kutztown Park bandshell from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 27 as part of the Borough of Kutztown 2024 Summer Concert Series.

A regular in the Borough of Kutztown concert series for many years, the Fabulous Greaseband always plays to a packed house and is back by popular demand this year.

Celebrating 50-plus fabulous years in the music industry, the Fabulous Greaseband originated from New Jersey.  The band performs extensively along the east coast between Washington, D.C. through New York City.

The seven-member band plays rock and roll of the 1950s to 90s, recreating the sound of the top Doo Wop groups such as Frankie Vali & The Four Seasons, The Beach Boys, The Righteous Brothers, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, Chubby Checker, The Platters, The Drifters, and Elvis, to name a few.

Held rain or shine, the free concert is expected to be well attended, so come early for seats inside the bandshell or bring chairs and blankets for seats outside on the lawn area.

The park concession stand Saucony Café will be open for food and drinks before and during the show.

Kutztown Kruizz

Earlier in the day, cars and car enthusiasts will fill Main Street for Kutztown Strong‘s annual Kutztown Kruizz.

The day begins at 9 a.m. with registration and staging at Kutztown Area High School, followed by a 10 a.m. parade of the cars down Main Street where they will remain on display for the day. In addition to viewing vehicles of all makes, models and years, visitors will be treated to many other activities, and, of course, lots of food and shopping.

All proceeds from the Kruizz help the grassroots coalition to continue programs and activities that support the behavioral health and wellbeing of local children, youth and families.
