Join the Berks County Community Foundation for a community forum entitled “What’s New at Berks History Center” on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., via Zoom.

History doesn’t change. What we learn from the past helps us understand the world that we live in; it offers context. The past informs the present, and at present, the Berks History Center is facing a crucial moment.

The Center was founded in 1869 to preserve and celebrate Berks County’s Cultural Heritage. It needs structural changes to improve the building, enhance the exhibits, and make it a more engaging public space.

The Center is focused on reimagining Berks County’s history by including more contemporary stories that truly reflect the history, legacy, and diversity of our region.

And now, the Center has a new Executive Director, Amanda McCoy.

Join the Berks County Community Foundation for its next community forum to learn more about the Berks History Center and its goal to portray the unique story of Berks County and its diverse population.

Click here to register. There is no fee to attend; individuals who register, however, will receive a recording of the forum once the event has concluded. As a cybersecurity measure, the foundation requires all attendees to authenticate their personal Zoom account before joining the meeting.
